It feels sooo good to be baaack. I do feel like I'm back. I'm not fully ramped up training yet but I kicked the sciatica with the help of some Dr. Sarno. Either he's right or he's a placebo. In either case, I don't care! Nothing else worked. That book did. On Wednesday I ran to master swim at too-early-in-the-morning and got there early! I had so much fun swiming that I was going to cheat and go again today - but with 14 inches of snow and school closings, I guessed it wasn't happening. I'll be there again tomorrow morning. So swimming is a little slow but, wow, I missed doing it!
The bike. Ah, the bike. I'm trying. The bike hurts like I never had any riding endurance. Like I've never been on a bike. The bike is what it always is for me - hard and so painful. So, I'm stepping it up and doubling up on computrainer for February weekends. I have to or I'll never get through Lake Placid. No so excited about this decision.
The run. Hey running is running and I always love it. I was slow and injured for my Fall marathon. I'm trying to eliminate the injured part for my Spring marathon. I still feel slow. I don't quite care though. The goal is to make it through my Ironman training without injury.
Ah, and yes...I've been doing a little stair training. Not as much as I should be. Every year I swear I will train more. Oh well, it's really just a fun event that's kind of ridiculous. Empire State Building Run is next Tuesday. Am I ready 'Heck No.' Will I do it and have fun 'Heck ya.'
I would mention the snow again, but I really don't need to.
25 weeks until Ironman Lake Placid! Goooo Team!
